Saturday, July 31st – Target Field, Minneapolis, MN – Thank you to everyone who supported Brain Aneurysm Awareness Night.  The Minnesota Twins went above and beyond to help promote The Joe Niekro Foundation and our mission.  The night started with a special video tribute to Joe Niekro, followed by interviews with Natalie throughout the game, and continuous marketing in the stadium to educate fans on the foundation and the launching of our Text to Give Campaign.  By texting the word STRIKEOUT to 20222, fans were able to make a $10 donation directly to The Joe Niekro Foundation. We are pleased to announce that there were many texting fans that evening and the dollars are still coming in. A portion of the night's proceeds will benefit neurological department at The Mayo Clinic - Minneapolis. 

Monday, August 16th – Turner Field, Atlanta, GA – Thank you to everyone who supported Brain Aneurysm Awareness Night.  The Atlanta Braves and their fans were wonderful and gave The Joe Niekro Foundation a fabulous welcome.  The night started with a special video tribute to Joe Niekro, (watch here) followed by interviews with Natalie and Phil Niekro throughout the game, and continuous marketing in the stadium to educate fans on the foundation and the launching of our Text to Give Campaign.  By texting the word STRIKEOUT to 20222, fans were able to make a $10 donation directly to The Joe Niekro Foundation. We had a great response and the pledges are still coming.  If you missed sending your $10 text, its not too late.  You can still participate, so grab your cell phone and Knuckle Up for aneurysm research! 

If you or someone you love has been affected by an aneurysm, please join us as we come together to support one another and share our stories. We encourage patients, families and friends to join us as we meet to discuss and listen to others who have shared in our pain. All are welcome. A grief counselor will be in attendance to help us all as we help each other.
